University Counseling Center Return for Service
How can I return to services at the University Counseling Center?
For students that have used our services in the past 12 months, please follow the link below and provide the necessary information to process your request. Your request will be reviewed and if additional information is needed, a staff member may reach out to you within 5 business days. After reviewing your records, eligibility, and goals for therapy, our staff will make an appropriate referral to help you meet your therapy goals.
If you have NOT been seen at the UCC in the past year, please contact our front desk at 801-581-6826 to request a new intake appointment (a new intake is also necessary if you are looking to change from individual counseling to couples/relationship counseling or vice versa).
How long will it take to receive my new counselor/group assignment?
We will make every effort to respond to your request and get you connected with services as soon as possible. Due to the high demand for services, please be aware that it may take a couple weeks (10 business days) for a counselor assignment and subsequent first appointment. Agreeing to virtual sessions, consenting to digital recording of sessions, having more availability in your schedule, and openness to working with any counselor or therapy modality (e.g., group counseling) may allow you to access services sooner.
Please Note: This form is not monitored regularly - If you need immediate assistance, please call our front desk at 801-581-6826 MONDAY to FRIDAY from 8 AM to 5 PM. For assistance outside of our business hours, please call the Huntsman Mental Health Institute Crisis Line 801-587-3000, use the SafeUT app, or dial 911.
